The Steelville R-III School District is seeking a full-time or part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for grades K-12 for the 2026-27 school year.
- Qualifications for the SLP: Education/Certification: Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Missouri. Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) preferred.
- Job description includes the following:
- Assist with identifying strengths and weaknesses of communication skills and provide appropriate services to students
- Develop and maintain compliant Individualized Education Plans and Evaluation Reports
- Implement appropriate speech and language goals
- Conduct speech and language screenings and formal evaluations
- Attend faculty meetings and serve on committees as assigned
- Other duties assigned by building principal and/or special education director
- Collaborate with IEP team and staff to develop appropriate staffing for students
- Communicate clearly and effectively while displaying good interpersonal skills
- Develop a schedule that is conducive to student learning and collaborate with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement therapy
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal policies
- Provide documentation of student progress which will also be used for direct service Medicaid billing
- May be requested to supervise the SLP-A for the district
